¿Qué hago en Luxemburgo?
Hace 5 años llegué a Luxemburgo sin tener muy claro a qué venía (más allá de venir por amor), ni cuánto tiempo me quedaría. Tampoco sabía exactamente qué quería hacer con mi vida, sinceramente, en ese sentido estaba en modo bajona ON.
Y lo intenté, lo de tener un trabajo fijo, un sueldo estable, una vida que llaman menos “complicada”. Pero, por alguna razón siempre acabo volviendo a esto: transformar y optimizar espacios, pensar con las manos y ayudar a que cada cosa encuentre su sitio. Y ¿Cómo podía traducir todo eso en un puesto laboral? Ya te lo digo, no era fácil.
No voy a decir que estoy persiguiendo un gran sueño. Es más bien algo que me sale de dentro. No fantaseo con arreglar casas ajenas… pero cuando lo hago y alguien me dice lo bien que se siente en su espacio después de pasar por Recoloco, resulta que eso de complicarme la vida me importa un poco menos.
Why is Recoloco so special to me?
Because it’s the one place where I can finally bring together all the things that truly make me feel like myself. For years, I searched for jobs where I could be authentic, where someone would genuinely value what I had to offer. But I often felt boxed in, unseen, and unchallenged. I’ve been so bored it hurt, feeling guilty for not appreciating what I had.
I’ve come to realize I think with my hands. Most of my ideas come to life on site. Planning things in advance isn’t exactly my strong suit… and spending hours in front of a computer? Don’t even get me started.
Y aunque aún no tengo del todo claro el “cómo”, tengo la gran suerte de que llevo años descubriendo el “para qué”.
Recoloco was born from a need to reconnect — with myself and with others. To bring out what I carry inside, which is all about: truly listening to people , understanding their tastes, quirks, and concerns… and from there, creating spaces that make their lives easier, more beautiful, and more theirs. I love building that relationship of trust and turning it into homes that feel meaningful.
It also pushes me to develop my creativity : imagining solutions — whether technical, practical, or aesthetic — building ideas on the go… and working with my hands;: assembling furniture, organizing storage rooms, hanging pictures, living life with a drill in hand… and my toolbox always ready.
Through all the ups and downs, here I stand, with Recoloco as my way to give back, to create, and to support.
